Acting and Directing Classes
Action Speaks Louder than Words!
Saturday, March 24th, 1:00 to 4:00PM
"We are what we do despite what we say we are."
Onion Man Productions is offering a single-session workshop focused on helping the
playwright reveal intricate plot lines and develop the internal mind of characters using action instead of dialogue. Discussion and exercises will address using action to replace exposition, increase tension, heighten stakes, and reveal the private thoughts of major and minor character.
Goal – for the writer to come out of the experience with at least one scene that reveals
significant plot details and one scene that shows the heart and mind of a major or minor character. This class is offered by Onion Man Productions in association with Lionheart Theater Company (www.lionhearttheatre.org). The class is taught by Daphne Mintz, Atlanta-area playwright and playwriting coach.
